Fight Breaks Out In Indiana Courthouse

A fight erupts during a murder case in an Indiana Vigo County Courthouse.

There was much tension and anger in the courthouse where both the victim and the defendants supporters started pushing and shoving.

A shooting at a bar a week ago is the source of the murder hearing. The shooting happened at Bally Hoop’s Bar where it left one man dead and two others injured. The shooter had been arrested and showed up in court Tuesday.

The brawl started from inside the courthouse and continued outside. Police rushed in and separated the victim’s supporters from the defendant’s. According to authorities, those involved in the fighting could face charges.

Prosecutor Terry Modessit tells supporters to let them do their job and not to get involved.
