Man With Bubble Skin Needs a Cure

Chandra Wisnu,57, was born from a well-to-do family, handsome, and well-educated. He was a great catch for any woman.

After marrying his wife, Nanik, 33 years ago, he noticed small bumps on his back. They looked like tiny bubbles at first.

As the bubbles started to show up in every part of his body, he became known as the “Bubble Man” in his village. By the time he turned 32, the bubbles were all of his body.

He locked himself inside his house to prevent people from seeing him. He worries that other people are frightened of his appearance.

Wisnu wants to find a cure for his condition because his two children are showing signs of the same condition. TLC is featuring a documentary, “Bubble Skin Man,” which talks about his struggle on June 20.

Doctors could never figure how to treat his condition. He has been to several doctors including dermatologists. None of them could help him.

Some doctors have suggested that it was a genetic condition caused by an abnormality in the nervous system.

According to Wisnu, the sores are difficult to deal with. They become itchy and sore in hot weather.

While going through this, his wife has never left his side. In one part of the documentary she says,” You’re sitll handsome.”

They are hoping that their two children who may be suffering the same condition can get treatment before it gets worse.
