Gun Advocates: Teachers Should Carry Guns In Schools
In the wake of the Sandy Hook tragedy, gun violence has been in the forefront of the news in the last week.
Gun advocates say that allowing principals and teachers to carry guns can prevent tragedies like Sandy Hook.
In Wichita Falls, Texas teachers are allowed to carry guns. Students at the school say that they feel safer because their teachers are armed. School superintendent, David Thweatt, told ABC news that he is convinced that arming teachers and principals will prevent tragedies like Sandy Hook.
In a school in Tulsa, Oklahoma have armed guards patrolling the hallways.
Lawmakers like Governor Rick Perry from Texas and Representative Louie Gohmert are pushing for more guns. They argue that people should be allowed to carry guns wherever they want. Rep. Gohmert claims that if the principal at Sandy Hook Elementary School had an M-4 rifle in her office she would have been able to stop Adam Lanza.
Gun advocates point to an incident in 1997 where an armed principal stopped a 16-year-old gunman who already shot two students in a Pearl, Mississippi high school.
However, a Chicago school district focuses more on high tech security. A teacher from Middleton Middle School in Chicago said that training teachers to be sharp shooters is unrealistic. She told ABC news that she would rather have guns out of school.
Bill Bond who was a former principal in a Heath high school where a gunman killed three students in 1996 says more guns will create more problems.

A bird expert featured on CBC Radio Thursday morning said, the image of the bird in the sky was not an eagle. It was an osprey.
A twitter user points out other details like the “disappearing wing.”

Teachers By Day, Wrestlers By Night (VIDEO + PHOTOS)
Teachers by day, wrestlers by night.
Twins Lucy and Kelly Knott are called the Blossom Twins in the ring. They have been wrestling since the age of 12.
During the day, both women, are teaching assistants at St Winifred’s RC Primary School. At night, they quickly change to their alter-egos as professional wrestlers.
The duo wears Union Jack crop tops and shorts as they fight it out with other opponents from around the world.
The sisters have been in professional wrestling since they were 16 and obtained quite a status in the wrestling world.
The twins are set to appear in the TNA British Boot Camp. There they will be competing for the chance to become part of the TNA team.

KE$HA’s ‘Die Young’ Song Pulled From Radios
KE$HA apologized for her Die Young lyrics in the wake of the Sandy Hook shooting.
The singer’s latest single was at No 3 in the Billboard singles charts, but was pulled from US radio stations after Friday’s tragedy.
The 25-year-old singer said she understands why her song is inappropriate.
In a tweet which has now been deleted, she wrote: “I understand. I had my very own issue with ‘die young’ for this reason. I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO.”
She also expressed her sympathy for the 26 victims of the shooting. She encouraged fans to donate to a charity fund for Sandy Hook victims.
She wrote: “Its beyond words what has happened. Help families affected by the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary by donating here: indiegogo.com/OneRepublicForSandyHook.”
Although the title may seem inappropriate after what happened at Sandy Hook, the lyrics themselves say something different.
Ke$ha previously said that Die Young was a celebratory song. The concept of which was to live each day like it’s your last.

Anorexic Girl Praised For Being Skinny: Valeria Levitin
Valeria Levitin struggles with anorexia
Valeria Levitin is called the thinnest woman in the world.
Valeria suffers from eating disorders and urges young girls to not follow in her footsteps.
She says she gets fan mail from girls saying that they wish to look just like her.
“I have received emails from young girls who want me to teach them how to be like me.
“All the letters I’ve had are from women, mainly in their twenties, who see me as some kind of inspiration.
“This is why I want to campaign against anorexia. I am not going to teach them how to die. It is not a game, it is not a joke, it is your life.”
Valeria developed her eating disorder in her teens. She wants to speak out about how the illness has ruined her life. She wants to tell girls and women that she desperately wants to win this battle in order to have a family.
Valeria at a healthy weight in her teens.
“I want young people to live happy, healthy and meaningful lives. Anorexia has made me lonely, unattractive and repulsive for the people around me.”
Her daily diet only include fruit, a small amount of meat and vegetables. She can no longer eat many types of food because her body will reject them.
Valeria admits that she has not been in a relationship for 10 years because her illness makes her miserable.
She said it was difficult to be with someone when you are always in a bad mood.
Her nutritional intake can only be done by taking supplements. It is also to help counter the risk of bruising.
And because of her fragile state, she tries to avoid situations where she could fall or cause injury to herself.
Valeria wants to move back to Moscow to see if she can get any better.
The disturbing part of this is the many letters she receives from her “fans.”

Hello dear Valeria,
I am 23 and weigh 8½st and I do not like myself this way. I want to look skinny like Thumbelina. Nobody can persuade me not to diet, even though I acquired gastritis and pancreatitis.
I have tried all kinds of diets but they all yielded only temporary results. On my present diet I do not feel hungry eating 10½oz to 14oz of food per day, I cannot return to my old way of eating because I fear I will gain weight.
All my relatives are telling me it will hurt me, that I will be a victim of anorexia. I am a little worried that one day I will be faced with a problem of critically low weight and I want to know when to get worried. When did it happen to you?
