A father told his kids that they could have a cat if they can get 1,000 likes from Facebook… and they did.
Dan Urbano from Newton, Massachussetts told his two children that he will give in to their request for a cat if they can get 1,000 Facebook likes. Dan didn’t realize the power of social media and so the kids did what he asked.
With the help of their mother, Marisa Papile Urbano, Evelyn and Remi Urbano created a Facebook “campaign” to help get 1,000 likes to get the cat they longed for.
The image of Evelyn and Remi holding a whiteboard asking people to like and share the image was posted on Facebook.
At first, the image was shared to family and friends. Within hours the image was shared throughout the world gaining 120,000 likes and shared 100,000 times.
Dan Urbano had to get them the cat they wanted. They named her Hairietta Pawturr after their favorite book.
