Hollywood-themed sand sculptures will be on display in a California beach.
Although the weather seems a little chilly for the beach, these sand sculptures will surely attract people to hang out at the beach.
Batman, Yoda and the Pirates of the Caribbean’s Jack Sparrow are just a few of the featured sculptures created for the annual Sand Sculpture Festival in Weston-super-Mare Somerset.
Sculptors are working hard to complete their creations on Weston-super-Mare. This year the world’s best sculptors are required to create Hollywood-themed sculptures.
Some of the characters featured in the festival include Gollum from Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Toy Story, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
The festival that started in 2006 has had themes including Fairy Tales, The Continents of the World, Under the Ocean, Great Britain, and The Jungle.
More than 20 sculptors around the world will use 4,000 tonnes of sand to create their master piece.
The festival is set to open to the public on Good Friday and will remain open until the end of September.
