A professor from Middle Tennessee State University invents a kit to convert any car into a hybrid vehicle.
Electric motors are installed in the wheel and a battery pack is placed in the trunk.
Dr Charles Perry of MTSU says the kit is made for speeds below 40 mph per hour. It will improve gas mileage by 50 to 100 percent.
The cost of the kit is $3000.
It’s a good solution for drivers who do not want to buy a new hybrid or electric car. They also said that the kit will not affect the car’s performance.
