The red equal-sign has gone viral.
Celebrities had been putting up the red colour and the red equal sign logo on their Facebook walls in support of gay rights.
Different versions of the equal sign can be seen in the photos below. Celebrities have put up their own version of the red equal sign to show support to marriage equality.
The Human Rights Campaign grabbed a lot of attention on Facebook and had been shared several times as the marriage debate hit the Supreme Court.
The case pleadings to the Supreme Court will involve a decision on the definition of marriage. Protests and petitions will be delivered to the Court as they determine constitutional law.
The campaign started by the HRC encourage people to paint-the-town-red and supporters are doing that through Facebook.
Celebrities like Rob Reiner, Beyonce, True Blood, and Fergie have joined in to express their support. Many celebrities created their own version of the red equal-sign while Fergie posted it with no alterations and captioned it with: “No words necessary.”
Even alcohol brands such as Budweiser and Absolut show their support through their own “paint-the-town-red” ads.
