‘SNL’ Featured Subdued Opening: Children’s Choir Sings ‘Silent Night’ (VIDEO)

Saturday Night Live featured the New York City children’s chorus opened the show singing “Silent Night.”

SNL which typically uses a funny and satirical approach to news and current events featured a subdued and moving tribute in light of the Connecticut school shooting last Friday.

CNN also created a short video to look at the names and the lives of the victims of the Newtown, Connecticut shooting.

Children as young as 6 years old died innocently at the hands of a troubled young man. Six adults died protecting the children at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
