The mysterious package had been kept in a museum in Gudbrandsdal, a town in Norway. The package dates back to August 26, 1912 with a note from a man named Johan Nygard. He specified that the package is not to be opened until 2012.
Speculation as to what is inside the package has left people wondering what it could be. What they do know was that Nygard was involved in local politics in those days. According to reports, Nygard handed the mayor the package and told him that the contents would someday “benefit and delight future generations.”
Those words makes it even more intriguing.
The residents of the town will finally get to see what’s inside on Friday August 24th. The opening will be broadcasted live on VGTV.no on Firday at 12pm EST.
