Adele made a clean sweep at Sunday’s 54th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
The British neo-soul songstress was nominated in six categories and winning all. She became the sixth artist and the youngest (23 years old) to achieve this feat. The Dixie Chicks were the last ones back in 2007.
Her album, 21, won the coveted Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. Rolling in the Deep also won Record of the Year which she dubbed was “inspired by a rubbish relationship.”
Her Grammy speech included thanking her producer Rick Rubin and being grateful for a “most life-changing year.”
No one could tell that she ever had vocal cord surgery after she made a dynamic performance of Rolling in the Deep as one of the night’s performing acts.
