Apple has finally unveiled the iPhone 5.

The newest iPhone looks similar to older models. However, it now features a thinner body, larger screen and a faster processor.

The larger screen will enable users to view e-mails and web pages easier.

The processor is called the Apple A6 and connects to a 4G LTE connection. This allows for speedy internet browsing.

Apple will release the iPhone 5 on September 21, in the US with a price tag starting from $200 on a two-year mobile contract.

The iPhone 5 has a 4-inch screen and is made of glass and aluminum which will probably popular with consumers. However, the downside of the new phone is that it uses a different charging cord. The old iPhone cords will not work with the iPhone 5 unless an adapter is used. Apple did think of this and already made one.

The cord, which Apple dubbed as “lightning,” is 80% smaller than the previous iPhone cord.

Other cool features of the iPhone 5 is that they added a row of icons to the home screen. It even includes a 3D version of digital maps and a feature called Passbook. The Passbook app allows people to pull up airlines tickets or use payment apps from the locked home screen.

Apple also announced a new line of iPods during the press conference. One of which is an iPod nano with a 2.5-inch touchscreen. This new device can pause live radio and starts at $150.
