Ashton Kutcher: Racist Popchips Ad (VIDEO)

Ashton Kutcher is under a lot of heat these days.

Not only from his unfunny character in Two and a Half Men, but also from his participation in a racist ad.

A Popchips Youtube ad featured Ashton impersonating different people.

One of the characters he pretends to be is a “Bollywood producer.” Popchips producers painted Kutcher’s face brown, added a fake mustache, and he spoke with an accent.

Popchips claim the ad was supposed to a light hearted joke. But people are not laughing. Instead they received backlash from the internet.

The company issued a statement after the internet blew up with criticism towards the company’s decision to create such an ad.

“The new Popchips worldwide dating video and ad campaign featuring four characters was created to provoke a few laughs and was never intended to stereotype or offend anyone. At Popchips we embrace all types of shapes, flavors and colors, and appreciate all snackers, no matter their race or ethnicity. We hope people can enjoy this in the spirit it was intended.”

The ads on Youtube and Facebook has since been removed.
