Baby falls down train tracks

A baby stroller rolls onto train tracks in Fairfield, Australia. The incident happened a year ago, but was recently released through the freedom of information act.

In the video, the frantic mother ran after her baby and was able save her baby. The five-month old child was the third baby stroller incident involving Metro stations last year. Miraculously, all babies came out unharmed.

The problem is the majority of the train platforms are designed to slope down towards the tracks. This helps rainwater to flow towards the tracks and away from the station. However, this has caused many incidents of baby strollers rolling down the tracks.

New stations are constructed with platforms that face away from the track. However, many of the old stations still slope towards the tracks. Officials are working on fixing these problems.
