Barbie Man has 2,000 Barbies and 1,000 Kens displayed in his four-bedroom home.
Stanley Colorite, who lives in Hudson, Florida, lives in a Barbie dream house. He has filled four bedrooms including a bathroom in his home with a collection of 2,000 Barbies and 1,000 Ken dolls.
The 41-year-old Colorite began collecting the dolls two decades ago. He says he spends $30,000 a year adding to the collection.
The popular toys fills up a quarter of his home and has become a tribute to Barbie.
Both he and his partner, Dennis Schlicker, collect the dolls together. Their collection is estimated to be around $80,000.
“Barbie isn’t just a toy for children, she’s for adult collectors too.
“I can’t stop collecting – it’s like a drug habit, I just can’t quit,” Colorite said.
The Barbie Man has thousands of Barbies, but the one he treasures the most is the 1996 Pink Splendor Barbie, valued at $1000.
He also displays the oldest Barbie ever made from 1962 and the first Wedding Day Barbie from 1963.
Colorite and Schlicker love the dolls so much that they normally attend Barbie conventions all over. They also design jewellery and curling the dolls hair in their spare time.
Despite filling up four bedrooms and a bathroom with his collection, Colorite says he plans to continue adding to this collection.
