First African-American Female Chess Master

Brooklyn Teen set to become First African-American Female Chess Master.

Rochelle Ballantyne, 17, from Brooklyn is on track to become the first African-American female chess master in the world.

In November, Ballantyne will go to Slovenia to battle it out with other hopefuls for the title in the 2012 World Youth Chess championships.
