A woman confessed to cutting up two lovers, freezing them, and burying them under a cellar in her store in Vienna.
Estabaliz Carranza, a 34-year-old woman had been dubbed the “Ice Lady” by the media.
Her victims were her ex-husband and her lover. She confessed that shot both victims with a .22 caliber Beretta pistol, chopped the bodies up with a chainsaw, and stuffed it in the freezer. She buried them eventually in the cellar of her store.
Carranza told courts that her husband, Holger Holz, changed after their wedding. Things became worse after they were kicked out of their apartment and moved into the ice cream shop.
Carranza shot Holz after he wouldn’t move out after the divorce. She shot him twice in the back of the head as he sat at his computer.
She began her relationship with the second victim, an ice cream machine salesman named Manfred Hinterberger. He left her shortly after her divorce from her Holz. Then he came back a year later after being thrown out by his girlfriend.
She took Hinterberger back, but found sex messages on phone and a profile on a dating site.
After he came home one night, they had an argument about him flirting with another woman.
“He turned to the wall and began snoring. He just turned around and that was the end of the matter for him. I was so furious,” Carranza said.
She then took the same pistol she had used to kill her ex-husband, loaded it, and shot him in his sleep.
The trial will run until Thursday.
