Iranian Women Become Ninjas

In a country where 42% of women are unemployed, many are joining the cause towards women’s rights.

As reported by The Atlantic, approximately 3500 females signed up to take part in Ninja training. The women are being trained in the art of Ninjitsu to become kunoichi.

For 33 years, the Iranian regime have discouraged women to get involved in any activity from politics to sports. They were forced to be submissive subjects under the regime. However, women’s right activist numbers continue to grow.

Back in 2004, a rugby team started by a group of Iranian women grew to 1,000 members.

Not only does this training push towards more liberal women’s rights, it also helps these women maintain balance between body and mind.
