Magnotta arrested at a Berlin internet cafe – watch the video of the arrest here.
Kadir Anlayisli, a cafe employee, recognized him after reading news of the international manhunt for Magnotta. He quickly called local police.
According to reports, Magnotta was at the cafe reading news about himself. When police arrived, they asked for his name. He kept giving false names until he finally gave up and said, “You got me.”
Police arrested him and took him to prison.
However, it may take months to extradite Magnotta to Canada.
Once back in Canada, he will face five charges. One charge will be the first-degree murder of Jun Lin, a Concordia University student who was killed and his dismembered body parts sent to Ottawa.
