More Ebola Victims In Uganda

Days after investigators confirmed an outbreak of Ebola 6 more patients are suspected to have contracted the highly infectious disease.

Health secretary of the affected Kibaale district, Stephen Bayaruhanga, said that more Ebola cases are popping up in other villages.

However, some of the people suspected of having Ebola do not want to go to the hospital. They believe that they might contract the disease if it turns out that they do not have Ebola.

There are now 26 people in Uganda infected with the virus this month. There was 14 people who already died from it.

In 2000, the Ebola virus killed 224 people in Uganda. There is no known vaccine for the disease.
