At 1:30 am, police knocked on 26-year-old Andrew Scott’s apartment door. Deputies said that they did not identify themselves while knocking.
Scott opened the door with a gun pointed at the deputies. The police then shot and killed him.
Scott died of gunshot wounds.
Police were looking for a suspect and knocked on the wrong apartment door. After killing Scott, they realized an hour later that he wasn’t the man they were looking for.
They were looking for Jonathan Brown and Andy Rodriguez who were in a building next to Scott’s apartment. Both were wanted for attempted murder.
Residents are angry by Scott’s death and wants to know why the deputies did not identify themselves.
