A Brazilian student sold her virginity for half a million pounds through an online auction.
Twenty year old Catarina Migliorini took part in the auction which was also part of an Australian documentary.
A Japanese man reportedly bid £ 487,000 to be Catarina’s first.
According Brazilian newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo, Catarina plans to use the money to study medicine in Argetina.
The young woman said: “I am 20, I am responsible for my body and I am not hurting anyone.”
Alexander Stepanov from Russia also took part in the auction. He sold his virginity through Virgins Wanted where the winning bid for his viriginity was £1,876 from Brazil.
The documentary’s Facebook page has received criticism about the the ethics of the auction.
However, this doesn’t stop Catarina for going through with it.
The auction’s terms say that Catarina will have to undergo a medical examination in order to prove that she is a virgin. After the examination, Catarina will have sex with the winning bidder within the next ten days.
However, the rules of the auction ban sex toys, kissing and recording. It also states that there is a minimum time of one hour.
The virgins from the auction will receive $20,000 plus 90 percent of their sales figure.
