A professional tennis umpire kills her husband with a coffee mug.
Lois Goodman says she thought her 80-year-old husband had a heart attack and fell.
Officers said that there was too much blood and that the amount of blood was not consistent of a fall. Police also found a broken coffee mug.
Police say pieces of ceramic were found in the husband’s skull which made them suspicious of Goodman’s story.
She was arrested yesterday for the murder of her husband.
She wore her umpire’s uniform when she was taken in. Apparently, she was set to umpire in the U.S. Open.
Motive for the murder is still under investigation.
