The Ravens had a great start leading the game 28-6. Then with 13:28 left in the third quarter, the lights went out.
During the power outage, people were speculating if the Ravens’ momentum would slow down. And it did. After a 34-minute delay power was restored in the Superdome and the game resumed.
The 49ers came back, but the Ravens held on for a 34-31 victory.
“It’s probably one of the best Super Bowls y’all ever see,” said Ravens safety Ed Reed.
Joe Flacco, who tied Joe Montana’s record for touchdown passes in one post-season without an interception, was named Super Bowl MVP. He finished with 11 touchdowns and no interceptions in the post-season.
