A woman from Florida has 50 orgasms a day since the age of eight.
Amanda Gryce, 22, says her life is being ruined by 50 orgasms a day. She suffers a rare condition that has permanently sexually aroused her since the age of eight.
Amanda can easily get aroused by simple vibrations like a call from a mobile phone, a car or plane ride.
She says that the orgasms can happen anywhere. It has happened while she was out with friends and at work.
There are other women who suffer the same condition as Amanda.
Gretchen Molannen, a 39-year-old woman from Florida, had the same condition. But after 16 years of battling the condition, known as Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome or PSAS, Molannen committed suicide.
Amanda sees the unusual condition as torture.
“It is not pleasurable, you could say it has become a torture. This condition controls your life completely and it is like living a nightmare. I can have 50 orgasms in one day and five or ten within an hour of each other.”
“It happens when I’m with my friends or out in public and it’s very embarrassing. It kills me inside. I just have to put on a smile and pretend that nothing’s wrong.
“Orgasms are supposed to be a good feeling but I’ve had them every day for so long now that I’m living with constant fear and shame.”
Amanda told The Sun that she thought about suicide, but did not want to resort to that.
She had her first orgasm when she was eight years old, but was too afraid to tell anyone.
“As a child I had no idea what was happening to me – I thought I was just sex-obsessed.”
Then in 2008 she heard about PSAS on the radio. Relieved that there was a name to her condition, Amanda has tried to move on with her life. She even started dating, but admits it had been difficult.
“I’ve been with a few guys, but it’s difficult – I’ve found some guys are even intimidated.”
To add to her agony, some people tell her that she is making the whole thing up and that she really is a nymphomaniac.
“I just now hope that there will one day be more understanding of this condition and my story will give just one other person the courage to get support.”
